Paste one item per line and choose an order. The tool is useful for names, email addresses, URLs, keywords, inventory codes, reading lists, and any other line-based data where alphabetical or numeric order makes the next task easier. Results update as you type, and the sorted list can be copied or downloaded without creating a file first.
A–Z uses locale-aware natural ordering, so item 2 comes before item 10 instead of being treated as plain text. Z–A reverses that order. Length sorts by the number of characters after optional trimming. Numeric sorts actual numbers and places non-numeric lines after them. Last word is helpful for sorting people by surname, with the full line used as a tie-breaker.
Trimming removes stray spaces from copied cells, and ignoring case keeps Apple and apple next to each other. You can remove blank lines and duplicates in the same pass. These options are visible and reversible, so the sorted output remains explainable rather than silently changing the source data.
Sorting changes position but not content. Compare the first and last few lines with the source, especially when leading zeroes, mixed languages, or accented characters matter. Keep the original list until the sorted version has been reviewed in the system where it will be used.
