Compare subscribers before you merge
Exported subscriber lists often overlap without being identical. Paste one address per line from each source, then review the contacts that appear only in the first list, only in the second list, and in both. This is safer than manually filtering a spreadsheet because the comparison preserves the two source groups. Use the difference queues to review new signups, missing contacts, or a supplier list that should not be added to a customer campaign.
Normalize addresses deliberately
Email addresses are normally compared without case sensitivity, which is the default preset on this page. Leading and trailing spaces are removed so copied cells do not create false mismatches. Do not use a broad replacement rule to remove domains: an address at one domain can be a different contact. If an export has a predictable prefix or pasted label, add a narrowly scoped plain-text rule and review the resulting counts before exporting.
Review duplicates instead of hiding them
A repeated address can signal a duplicate form submission, an import retry, or multiple tags assigned in another system. Open the duplicate audit to see which normalized items repeat and how many times they occurred. The main comparison still uses one instance of each address, while the audit lets you decide whether the original data needs cleaning before a merge.
Export a review queue
Copy a result for a quick check, or export the only-in-A, only-in-B, common, different, or all-unique result as TXT, CSV, or XLSX. Result editing is local and does not alter either source list, which is useful when a reviewer needs to remove a known test address before handing the queue to another system.
Keep the comparison private
Comparable List processes the lists in the browser tab you are using. No account is required and the items are not submitted to a comparison server. Review any export before sharing it, especially when it contains customer, account, or operational information.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use this email list compare tool for free?
Yes. The comparison runs locally in your browser without an account or a usage limit.
Are my source lists uploaded?
No. List contents are processed in the current browser tab. Avoid creating a share link for confidential information because a share URL contains its encoded list data.
Can I export the result?
Yes. Copy any result, or download it as TXT, CSV, or XLSX after you review it.
