Reconcile a roster before you act
Compare two one-name-per-line lists to find shared people and entries that appear on only one side. This is useful for attendance rosters, invitation lists, volunteer signups, and simple exports where a full data merge would be unnecessary.
Treat matching names as a prompt to review
The page ignores casing and repeated spaces by default, but it does not guess that similar names are the same person. Names can be shared, abbreviated, or changed. For a consequential decision, compare a stable ID or email address instead and use the name result only as a starting point.
Keep the comparison private
Comparable List processes the lists in the browser tab you are using. No account is required and the items are not submitted to a comparison server. Review any export before sharing it, especially when it contains customer, account, or operational information.
Frequently asked questions
Will this match nicknames or spelling variants?
No. It matches normalized text, not people. Review variants manually or compare a stable identifier when one is available.
