Inventory systems often disagree because one export is older, filtered, or sorted differently. Compare the SKU column from each report to make a focused reconciliation queue. Only in A identifies codes absent from the second export; only in B identifies codes that require review in the first. Shared SKUs give you a quick confidence check before you investigate quantities or other record-level fields.
SKU formatting is frequently the source of a false mismatch. This page can ignore leading zeroes for numeric codes and lets you add ordered plain-text replacement rules for stable prefixes such as SKU- or WH-. Use those rules only when the formats genuinely represent the same identifier. If letters carry meaning, leave case sensitivity on and inspect a small sample before trusting the final counts.
The duplicate audit keeps membership comparison accurate while making repeated source rows visible. A repeated SKU may be a legitimate variant, an accidental import duplicate, or a sign that the selected column is not the unique identifier. Resolve that question before treating the all-unique export as a clean master list.
