Create one clean combined list
Paste the two source lists and open All unique to create the deduplicated union. Items that occur in both sources appear once, and the source order is preserved: unique values from the first list are followed by previously unseen values from the second. This makes the output practical for names, IDs, product codes, domains, tags, and other one-item-per-line data.
Decide what counts as the same item
Deduplication is only trustworthy when the normalization rules match the meaning of the data. Trim spaces for copied columns, ignore case for labels or email addresses, and use leading-zero handling only for numeric identifiers where 001 and 1 are equivalent. The advanced controls show every optional normalization rule so the cleanup remains understandable and repeatable.
Inspect before you export
The duplicate audit reports source lines, valid entries, unique entries, and repeated entries separately for each list. This gives you a chance to find an accidental duplicate import instead of silently losing context. The Different result is also useful when you need to see what was exclusive to either list before creating a merged output.
Keep source data unchanged
All processing happens in the current browser tab. The result editor is intentionally separate from the two source boxes, so a reviewer can remove a test value or add a note-ready item before exporting without changing the lists that were compared. Choose TXT, CSV, or XLSX depending on the next system in your workflow.
Keep the comparison private
Comparable List processes the lists in the browser tab you are using. No account is required and the items are not submitted to a comparison server. Review any export before sharing it, especially when it contains customer, account, or operational information.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use this remove duplicate lists tool for free?
Yes. The comparison runs locally in your browser without an account or a usage limit.
Are my source lists uploaded?
No. List contents are processed in the current browser tab. Avoid creating a share link for confidential information because a share URL contains its encoded list data.
Can I export the result?
Yes. Copy any result, or download it as TXT, CSV, or XLSX after you review it.
