A useful list comparison starts with a clear decision, not an upload. This workflow keeps the comparison in your browser and makes the matching rules visible, so the resulting exception list can be reviewed rather than blindly acted upon.
Define what a single line represents. Line order is ignored by a set comparison, so include a stable token when sequence matters.
Paste one item per line or split consistently on tabs, commas, or semicolons. Keep blank lines and formatting noise out of the source list.
Use trimming and case rules only when they do not change meaning. The similarity suggestions are prompts for review, not automatic matches.
Read the different lists in context and use the duplicate audit to separate repeated source entries from true cross-list differences.
